This man and Danglars have an indirect exchange between info and money, using Madame Danglars as the middle man.
This character is Danglars’ daughter. After Danglars backs out of marrying her to Albert, he wants her to marry Cavalanti. Cavalanti came from a wealthy family. This plan backfires when the Count of Monte Cristo develops a plan that makes him lose his money.
Danglars acts as this man’s banker. This character later on convinces Danglars to find out the information about Fernand’s past.
This woman is Danglars’ wife. She is having an affair with Lucien Debray. She gives info that Debray tells her to Danglars in exchange for money. She then pays Debray for giving her the information with the money Danglars gives her.
This character shares something in common with Danglars: His hate and jealousy towards Edmond Dantes. Danglars gets this character to take revenge on Dantes by accusing him of being a coward for not doing so. Danglars is manipulative and persuasive towards this character. Further in the story, Danglars agrees for his daughter to marry this character’s son, but later breaks his word on the matter when he learns about this character’s past.
