Across
How force is measured
Help us determine how forces are acting on an object when calculating force; if two forces are going the same way then we add them toghether. If two forces are going oppisite ways, then we subtract them. It will move the direction of the larger force
A measurement of distance over speed
A push or pull on an object
The shape of the line on this type of graph tells us how the speed of an object is changing
An invisible force that pulls objects toward each other
A force created when two objects move/slide across each other
When all the forces acting on that object are equal then the object does not change speed and therefore it is not moving or moving at a constant speed
At least one of the forces acting on the object is greater than the others than the force will cause the object to change its motion (start moving, stop moving, or begin to accelerate or decelerate) and the object will move in the direction of the greater force
Down
The resistance / stubbornness to change in motion
This can be visualized by creating a distance vs. time graph; the location of an object
When an object moves at the same speed over time
How a position changes over time
When an object picks up speed over time
sum of all the forces acting on the same object at the same time
A measurement of speed multiplied by time
When an object slows over time; goes slower
A measurement of distance over time; how far an oblect moves in a certain amount of time
the amount of matter in an object or how heavy an object is
