You Are a Social Detective!

Teacher: Cathy Ehlert
Across
I use my toolbox (eyes, ears, brain and heart) to make this kind of guess.
Someone who thinks about others thoughts and feelings and uses their social detective tools to figure out what is expected for how to behave and treat others.
This happens when I don't use my smart guess toolbox. It makes people have uncomfortable thoughts.
Things we do or say that give people uncomfortable (odd) thoughts about us and make them feel icky or mad, or bad.
Others have these kinds of thoughts about us when we do things that are unexpected.
Different types of "smarts" in our brains that we use for school learning like math, computer, science and many more.
Things we do or say that give people good thoughts about us and make them feel good too.
We are this kind of person when we use our eyes, ears, and brains to figure out what others are planning to do next or are presently doing and what they mean by what they say or do.
Eyes, ears, brain and heart
Down
This happens when you find the expected way to sit, stand or walk with others so that everyone feels comfortable and no one is invading others' personal space or sitting too far away.
Others feel that you are paying attention and thinking about what is happening in the group.
Using your eyes to look at a person so they feel that you are thinking about what they are saying or doing.
These are the smarts that we use whenever we are around other people.
Others have these kinds of thoughts about us when we do what is expected.
