Used to check performance of instrument. This is a known amount of analyte that is usually run after all your calibration standards and a few samples, so that you can verify that the instrument is still producing accurate results.

This is the concentration of analyte detected in the spiked sample, minus the average concentration of the sample and the duplicate sample, divided by the amount added in the spike, all multiplied by 100.
A sample that has been modified by adding a known spike of analyte.
This is the unknown that you are trying to find a concentration for. You determine the concentration of this unknown using a standard calibration curve.
This is a second run of your sample. Ideally, it should be identical to your first sample.

This is the absolute value of the difference between the concentrations of your original sample and duplicate sample, divided by the concentration of your original sample, all multiplied by 100. This will need to be less than 10%
