Rangers Crossword Only 8

Across
I played the majority of my career with the Angels and I am a member of the Angels Hall of Fame. I played my final 2 years in Texas in ‘91 and ‘92 as the DH.
I signed as a free-agent with the Rangers in 1977, and went 17-11 that year.
I was a 15 game winner and American League All-Star in 1996 for the Rangers (despite having an ERA over 5.00).
In 2010, I played for the Rangers vs. the Giants in the World Series. I had played for the Giants earlier in the year, and thus became only the 6th player in history to have played for both World Series teams in the same year (guaranteeing me a World Series ring no matter who won).
On June 30, 1997 against the Dodgers, I became the first American League pitcher to hit a home run since October 3, 1972, and the first American League pitcher to hit a home run in a regular season inter-league game.
In 2010, I was the winning pitcher in both games 2 and 6 of the American League Championship Series against the Yankees and in game 3 of the World Series against the Giants.
I was the winning pitcher in both Game 1 and Game 5 of the 2010 American League Division Series against Tampa Bay, helping the Rangers to their first playoff series victory in history.
Down
On April 22, 2023 I had 2 doubles, 3 HRs, and 8 RBI against the Oakland A’s. In this game, I became only the 4th person in MLB history to hit 3 HRs and 2 doubles in one game. The bat I used in that game is on display at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
I was a Ranger relief pitcher from ‘73 to ‘76, and became an Arlington police officer for a period of time after my playing days.
As of 2023, I am 1 of only 5 players in major league history to have 100 or more RBI in a season from the lead-off position, and only the 2nd American Leaguer on the list.
I had a huge year in the Rangers march to the World Series in 2011, hitting .320 with 30 HRs and 75 RBI.
My nickname in my playing days was “The Bonham Bullet”.
While with the Rangers, I threw my 6th and 7th career no-hitters.
I was a relief pitcher for the Rangers in ‘79 and ‘80, but I am better known for my days with the Yankees and the tell-all book “The Bronx Zoo” that I co-authored about the inner-fighting within the Yankees during their ‘77 and ‘78 championship seasons.
I won the 2023 Gold Glove Award at 1st Base.
