Learned about Alfred Hitchcock which introduced me to the notion of Auteurism and the staple Hitchcock made on the film industry and the horror and thriller genre.
Dove into the question of "What is Cinema?" and dived deep into what cinema means, the affect it has on people, and how cinema affects the world around us. This course helped me become more in-tune and appreciate what cinema actually is rather than just a moving object on a screen.

Learned about the history of film in different cultures like Japan. This broadened my horizon on film and helped me see the history of film in different cultures than just America.
Learned about how films are produced, directed, and arranged when it comes to behind the scenes. This helped me understand what actually goes into making films and got to make short films of my own for the class.
Learned about the basics of Photography and Videography which provided hands on experience with quality built cameras and learned how to operate and film on cameras. This provided me with an understanding of filming and certain cinematography rules.
Learned about the diversity of queer film makers in the U.S. which helped me understand the history and battle for inclusion in film.
Learned about how scripts are adapted to not just the stage but also the screen and how plots are structure and can be arranged to be less linear while still maintaining proper structure. This course helped me with creating ideas on how scripts can be translated to screen adaptations.
Learned about the history of film which helped me understand and appreciate the art form as well as be more knowledge in my major and help enhance my background and understanding.
Learned about ethnicity in film and the "Blaxploitation Era" of film. This also aided to my knowledge on the history of film and how far film has come and the different eras that film has gone through.
A class on silent films which quickly became one of my favorite eras in film due to how fascinating and creative the films were during times of limitations and the newfound art form of film.
