NorthRock Church Core Values

Across
Everything except our vision might change tomorrow, and we’ll need to be ready. We go with the flow.
We love learning constantly; from coaching and resources that develop our focus, skill, and intuition. We grow a little every day… be it personally, emotionally, intellectually, or spiritually. We are always open to constructive criticism.
We do what we say we will do at the highest level possible. It’s not about perfection, it’s about excellence. The quality of what we do equals or exceeds expectations. We understand that excellence is in the details.
Look around! Everything we see is about Jesus – created by Him, for Him and under His authority. We don’t have to have all theological truth nailed down, but we must be fully committed to following Jesus.
We own our work. We embrace responsibility. We get things done. We take the blame and share the credit.
We protect and defend our staff and leaders to others. We give the benefit of the doubt and always speak positively of others. Our loyalty is to our staff and the vision of the church 1st and foremost. We are TEAM ORIENTED… always avoiding the silo mentality.
Down
We don’t just do the minimum. Going above and beyond is the norm here. We believe it’s easier to tame a workaholic than to motivate a lazy person. Sometimes we’ll have to come early and stay late. We’re okay with that.
We love what we get to do! We’re fiercely committed to keeping our culture POSITIVE and focused as we advance the mission.
This is our primary role, empowering people for ministry. Leadership at NR is not about personally accomplishing big things for God; it’s about tapping into the passions and potential of other people to accomplish much bigger things for God.
We’re just a little obsessed with the community of faith that is NorthRock and doing our part in fulfilling the mission. NR’s vision guides the decisions we make and the conversations we have. We live it, not just on the weekend, but all the time.
Vulnerability based trust is the foundation of our team. We are honest about our mistakes and weaknesses; both in our life and as leaders. We tell the truth without putting a spin on it to make ourselves look good.
We love each other around here deeply. In front of each other’s faces and behind each other’s backs. We love those we lead. Authority is relational before it’s positional. We’d die for each other; and we live for each other’s benefits.
